FAQ
I signed in but can't see my old entries / notes
Make sure you're signing in with the same email used at registration. If the same email signed in on another device, wait for sync to complete (first sync may take 5-30 seconds). After resetting your password via the 12-word recovery phrase, trigger a full sync from Settings.
I forgot my password / lost my device
Use the 12-word recovery phrase you got at registration — it lets you reset your password and decrypt all data. If you also lost the recovery phrase, we cannot recover the data because of end-to-end encryption. Always save the phrase in a password manager (1Password / Bitwarden / Apple Keychain).
Notifications / reminders don't fire
iOS: Settings → Notifications → iKasa → toggle on. On the Web companion, browsers must grant notification permission AND you need to Add the page to your Home Screen for background reminders.
How do I enable Face ID / Touch ID lock?
In the app, go to Settings → App Lock and pick an auto-lock interval (20 sec / 1/5/10 min). Reopening the app then requires biometric or password re-auth. The Notebook tab can have a separate PIN under Settings → Notebook passcode.
Export / backup my data
The Monthly tab has an Export CSV button (top right) that exports the current month. Local data is also stored encrypted, but periodic CSV backups are recommended.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Sign Out terminates the session. For full server-side wipe of your encrypted blobs, email hello@ikasa.me with your registered address; we purge within 7 days.
